Samsung and McAfee extend partnership to protect Galaxy phones

Samsung’s smartphones and tablets come with App Protection, a feature powered by McAfee that can scan these devices for malware and suspicious activity. Now, McAfee has announced that it is extending its partnership with Samsung for the 10th year. So, we should continue to see App Protection on Galaxy phones and tablets.

In addition to that, you can download the McAfee Security app on your Galaxy phone and tablet from the Galaxy Store, which offers additional security features, including AI-powered McAfee Scam Protection that identifies dangerous links in text messages and notifies you about them, and prevents you from accessing risky websites if you click on their links in text messages, emails, social media posts, and other places.

McAfee is offering a huge discount on the paid subscription for Samsung users

However, many features of McAfee Security for Android are a part of the paid subscription. Well, thanks to the partnership between Samsung and McAfee, McAfee is offering a massive discount on the paid subscription on Samsung’s smartphones and tablets. For example, in India, the McAfee Total Protection subscription for Android costs INR 1,299 per year. However, for Samsung users, McAfee is offering it at INR 129.

In the press release about the announcement, the Senior Vice President of McAfee, Pedro Gutierrez, says “Our continued partnership with Samsung helps us do what matters most: protect more people so they can live their lives online with confidence. With the introduction of Samsung's new mobile AI experience and McAfee's continued focus on using AI to fight against AI scams, we’re thrilled to continue our partnership.”
