Let's start with the 980 Pro SSD since the clock appears to be ticking faster for this deal. Prospective buyers can acquire the 980 Pro with 1TB of storage from Samsung's website for $129 instead of $159, or they can pick the 2TB variant for $249, down from $279.
The 980 Pro is a PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD with read/write speeds of up to 7,000/5,100 MB/s. It's compatible with the PlayStation 5 from Sony, although it requires a heatsink (sold separately) to survive the high temperatures inside the gaming console's narrow case.
This 980 Pro limited-time discount will remain available for the next ~40 hours as of this writing, so make sure to check the links below if you don't want to miss out.
In addition to the 980 Pro, Samsung has also slashed the prices of the 970 Evo Plus NVMe M.2 SSD. This model is older and has a PCIe Gen 3.0 interface. It can top read/write speeds of up to 3,500/3,300 MB/s. It's destined for PCs, as it is incompatible with gaming consoles.
Samsung offers the 500GB variant for $77 instead of $84, but the higher the storage, the bigger the discount. The 1TB model costs $104 instead of $129, and the 2TB model is now available for $179 rather than $239.
In theory, this 970 Evo Plus SSD should be the revised variant featuring a different controller, which was released roughly one year ago. But it's difficult to tell. You can check the links below for more details.
