Another mid-range device is getting the One UI 7.0 update this week. Samsung is rolling out the update to the Galaxy Tab A9 and Galaxy Tab A9+, with Korean users getting first access. Samsung promised to bring One UI 7 to several mid-range devices in May, and the company is making good on its promise.
For the Galaxy Tab A9 and Tab A9+, the One UI 7 update is a 2.5GB download and comes included with the March 2025 security patch. The cellular variants seem to be receiving the update first, but the Wi-Fi variants shouldn't be too far behind. As far as the global rollout is concerned, it could take a week or two to start.
To download the update—identifiable by a build number ending in DYDA—on your device, open its Settings app, navigate to the Software update menu, and tap Download and install. One UI 7 firmware are also available on SamMobile.
The Galaxy Tab A9 and Tab A9+ are mid-range tablets, so they aren't getting all One UI 7.0 features. But there's still a lot to like, like the Now Bar and live notifications, redesigned and more customizable quick panel, more customizable home screen widgets, and improved UI animations.
