Apple's new iPhone 15 lineup is now official, and Samsung's answer to the new devices from its Cupertin0-based competitor will come in the form of the Galaxy S24 next year. But Samsung isn't just thinking about the near future, as is evident by the fact that the Korean giant has already registered the Galaxy S25 brand name, as discovered by our friends over at GalaxyClub.

Samsung's no stranger to applying for trademarks and registering the names of upcoming smartphones, but it seems the company has taken to doing all that a lot quicker than it used to in the past. The Galaxy S25 isn't the only 2025 smartphone Samsung has already trademarked the name for – it has also taken steps to protect the Galaxy Z Fold 7 brand name even though the next Galaxy Z Fold (the Z Fold 6) is still almost a year away from launch.

However, all of this is just legal paperwork that doesn't tell us anything about these devices other than what they will be called. So if you are already looking forward to the Galaxy S25, you will be waiting a good long while to find out what the device will offer in terms of specs, features, and upgrades over next year's Galaxy S24.

For those who don't want to do any waiting and have the itch to buy a new flagship phone right now, Samsung has some excellent deals on the Galaxy S23 Ultra that you can take advantage of, including up to a $900 trade-in credit if you purchase the phone from the company's official website.
