Samsung Experience Store in Montreal expands with walk-in repair service

Samsung Canada has announced that it has completed expanding its Experience Store at Montreal Eaton Centre. Customers can now take advantage of same-day walk-in on-site service options for Galaxy smartphones, tablets, and accessories.

Customers visiting the service center can consult with Galaxy experts, diagnose devices, and ask for same-day repairs. As always, Samsung notes that although the vast majority of customers will benefit from same-day support within a two-hour window, some exclusions apply.

It's been some time since we last heard of Samsung expanding its Experience Stores, and this is for good reason. The pandemic has shifted focus from retail to e-tail last year, and even now, physical stores don't operate within the usual parameters.

Samsung is taking extra precautions

Samsung Canada has set strict guidelines for personnel and customers at the Montreal Eaton Centre Experience Store to minimize the chances of COVID-19 infection. Therefore, every device will be UV-C-sanitized after repair, and every visitor is required to wear a facial mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines.

Unlike in normal situations, customers are not allowed to wait in-store or at the Service Center for their device(s) to be repaired. They will instead be contacted by a customer service representative once the repair is completed.

As for customers in Canada who may want to do the exact opposite and avoid human contact as much as possible, they can opt for Samsung's door-to-door repair service which was launched in the country last year.
