Samsung has announced the next SDC (Samsung Developer Conference) event. The South Korean firm's SDC 2023 event will take place at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, USA, on October 5, 2023. This is Samsung's ninth developer conference since the company started holding it in 2013.

Last year, the Samsung Developer Conference (2022) was available to only those who were invited. This year, though, anyone can attend the SDC 2023 event with a prior registration. During this conference, Samsung will highlight the capabilities of Bixby, Knox, SmartThings, and Tizen. The South Korean firm will also showcase how its devices are spread across businesses, serving seamless experiences. The event will be live-streamed on Samsung's YouTube channel and Samsung Developers website.

JH Han, Vice Chairman, CEO and Head of Samsung's Device eXperience (DX) Division, will open the event keynote to outline the company's vision for a more customized and secure customer experience. The company is planning to improve its ecosystem of products and services. JH Han will be joined by the following executives, who will explain various aspects and upcoming features of Samsung's software and services.

    • Jaeyeon Jung, EVP, SmartThings Team
    • Hobum Kwon, VP, Platform Team, Samsung Research
    • Bongjun Ko, EVP, Application S/W R&D Group, Visual Display (TV) Business
    • Sally Hyesoon Jung, VP, Framework R&D Group, Samsung MX
    • Hon Park, VP, Digital Health Team, Samsung MX

During breakout sessions, attendees can learn more about Samsung's software ecosystem, including Bixby, Matter, One UI 6, Samsung Health, SmartThings, Tizen, and more. Developers can also participate in actual coding through “Code Lab” and get mentoring from Samsung's developers on various topics.
