Samsung’s 2025 flagship non-foldable smartphone lineup, the Galaxy S25 series, debuted the stable version of One UI 7.0. It introduced several new features, including Now Bar, which displays the status of ongoing activities—such as timers, stopwatches, and live sports scores—in the status bar, notification panel, and lock screen.
One UI also allows users to disable Live Notifications on a per-app basis. However, until now, there was no way to keep them visible in the notification panel and lock screen while hiding them from the status bar. One UI 9.0, which is currently available only for the Galaxy S26, changes that with the help of the latest version of QuickStar.
Yesterday, Samsung released a new update for Good Lock's QuickStar module that introduced the highly requested network speed indicator. However, that's not the only addition. The update also lets users hide the Now Bar from the status bar while keeping live notifications enabled elsewhere (via S M A Sithick).

The new setting is labeled Ongoing Chip. To access it, open QuickStar, enable the module, and navigate to Visibility of indicator icons, where you'll find the option to turn it off. Note that the latest QuickStart update is available only for devices running on One UI 9.0, which is currently available only for the Galaxy S26.
