One UI 9 global release dates for some Galaxy devices revealed

Samsung finally started rolling out the One UI 9.0 update for the Galaxy S26 series a few days ago, following months of beta testing. The update, which debuted in Korea on September 16, was accompanied by official announcements on several Samsung portals.

Interestingly, Samsung Thailand's newsroom announcement for One UI 9.0 was a bit more revealing than others. It not only confirmed One UI 9's release for the S26 series in Korea but also touched on the Galaxy S25 lineup, Galaxy Z7 foldables, and even the Galaxy S23 FE.

Furthermore, Samsung Thailand may have revealed the official One UI 9.0 release dates for the global market, not just Korea.

Galaxy S27 One UI 9 release

September 21 is the day when the Galaxy S26 series will receive One UI 9.0 in Thailand, and possibly other regions beyond South Korea. Yes, the update is already live in Samsung's home country, but other regions will get it later.

One UI 8 also arrived a few days later elsewhere than it did in Korea, and now we're seeing a similar pattern.

Galaxy Z Flip/Fold 7 One UI 9 release

Samsung Thailand also says that the Galaxy S26 series, the Galaxy Z Flip 7, and the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will receive One UI 9.0 on September 28.

Galaxy S23 FE One UI 9 release

Finally, even the Galaxy S23 FE got a mention, despite its age. According to the newsroom post from Thailand, One UI 9.0 will reach the Galaxy S23 FE by October.

Through this announcement, it is possible that Samsung spilled the beans on its One UI 9's global release plans. Either that, or the dates correspond strictly to Thailand. It's equally likely, considering that no other Samsung portal besides Thailand went into this much detail about the dates.

The company sounds confident in its release plans, but still, given the unusual way this information reached us through a single newsroom portal, it could be a tentative plan that's still subject to change.
