Samsung's Audio Eraser feature that debuted with One UI 7.0 can identify up to six types of audio in videos and allows you to adjust their volume as per your needs. However, it only works in the Gallery app, and you need to enter a special editing screen to use it. With One UI 8.0, Audio Eraser is getting faster and expanding to more stock apps.
One UI 8.0 brings Audio Eraser to Samsung Notes and Voice Recorder. In both these apps, once you've recorded audio, a little Galaxy AI button appears below the audio, and when you tap it, it automatically removes background noise from the audio. Compared to the original Audio Eraser functionality, you don't have to enter a special Audio Eraser screen to remove background noise.
You can watch it in action in our video below.
Samsung has also made Audio Eraser much faster while using it in the stock Gallery app. You don't need to tap the Galaxy AI button and then enter the dedicated Audio Eraser screen to adjust the volume of identified audio types. You can just tap the Audio Eraser button in the lower right corner of the screen when you are playing a video in the Gallery app, and it will directly remove unwanted background noise.

This feature has appeared in the latest internal beta build of One UI 8.0 for the Galaxy S25 series. And you can't find it in the latest public beta release. It appears that the new and improved feature will come to the next public beta release of One UI 8 for compatible Galaxy phones.
