One UI 8.5 brings higher zoom capabilities to videos on the Galaxy S25

Samsung's latest version of One UI for Galaxy smartphones and tablets, One UI 8.5, offers higher zoom level on the Galaxy S25 Ultra.

Samsung’s current non-foldable flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S25 Ultra, offers up to 20x zoom for video recording, on the latest stable firmware, One UI 8.0. Well, with Samsung’s next version of the software, One UI 8.5, the phone may offer a higher zoom level for video recording.

On X, a popular tipster, Ice Universe, claims that with One UI 8.5, Galaxy S25 Ultra will offer a 25x zoom level. They have also shared a screenshot backing their claim. You can check it out below.

As you can see in the image above, there are five standard focal length levels, 0.5x, 1x, 2x, 3x, 5x, and 25x, with the last one being the highest. Earlier, the max zoom level was 20x.

One UI 8.5 also offers a new UI that looks cleaner and more modern, is easier to use, and more customisable. It also brings a ton of new features. You can check them out in our video below.
