The simple App Lock feature is currently missing from Samsung's One UI software for smartphones and tablets. However, the South Korean firm could fix that shortcoming by bringing the App Lock feature with the One UI 7.0 update. This information comes from @tarunvats33, who usually spots new features and updates related to Samsung devices.
As you can see in the screenshot above, there appears to be a new option called App Lock, and it is listed below the Dual Messenger feature in the Settings app's Advanced Features section. Currently, when you navigate to Settings » Advanced Features, you can't spot any feature listed below Dual Messenger (at least on devices running One UI 6.1).
The story continues after the video below.
While you can hide your sensitive apps, documents, and media files in Secure Folder, you need to set it up completely and install a new instance of that app. If you want a simple app lock without the hassle of setting up an entire app once again, the upcoming App Lock feature would be a great fit for that kind of need.
However, take this information with a pinch of salt, as the tipster doesn't have a particularly good track record when it comes to upcoming features. It is also unclear if the App Lock feature will come with the One UI 6.1.1 update or the One UI 7.0 update.
