Back in May, Samsung announced Wear OS 5-based One UI 6 Watch for Galaxy Watches. Among other things, it brings Galaxy AI to the wearables, which offers many AI-powered features. One of them is Energy Score, which provides you with a score each day based on various sleep, physical activity, and heart rate metrics to encourage you to improve your wellness.
Last month, Samsung released the beta version of One UI 6 Watch to the Galaxy Watch 4, Galaxy Watch 5, and Galaxy Watch 6. However, some of the features/metrics that it offers, including Energy Score, were supposed to be visible in the Samsung Health app on your Galaxy or non-Samsung Android phone with version 6.27 of the Samsung Health app for Android.
Well, Samsung has released version 6.27 of the Samsung Health app for Android. While it should show Energy Score, it doesn’t. However, according to folks at Android Authority, this version of the app does contain that feature and they were able to activate it manually to give us an early look at how Energy Score looks in the Samsung Health app. Let’s take a look.
As you can see in the screenshots above, once you enter the Energy Score section, the app will tell you what it is about and how it works. According to it, it provides you a score about your wellness based on your sleep, physical activity, and heart rate. Once you go through the introduction, the app will present you with an Energy Score.
Along with that, it will break down that score into various aspects and tell you what needs improving and what doesn’t. You will be able to see these below the Energy Score. You can click on each aspect to see how you are doing in it. Above the score, it will show you your score for the previous days to give you the trend of your Energy Score.
The story continues after the video…
Looking at these screenshots, Samsung seems to have executed Energy Score very well, at least in the way it shows that information in the Samsung Health app on Android. We expect Samsung Health to show Energy Score by default in the next version of the app. At the moment, there’s no information about when Samsung will release it.
