Samsung has slowly but surely improved the Now Brief feature on its phones since its debut. As we explained in our recent article, the AI-powered digital information board has become a lot more useful. The South Korean firm plans to continue to improve it by adding a feature that reminds you of high-priority notifications.
While digging through One UI 9.0 code, Android Authority discovered text strings revealing that Samsung is developing a system to remind you about high-priority notifications via Now Brief. These reminders will appear at least twice a day: in the morning and before you go to bed. These important notifications will likely only appear when you open the full Now Brief screen, rather than in its compact Now Bar form or via its widget.
This could be Samsung's way of nudging you to address critical alerts on your Galaxy phone. Additionally, the company appears to be working on a dedicated Priority Notification Widget, which could display important unread notifications right on your home screen.
Samsung has not announced this feature yet, as it remains under development. There is a chance that Priority Notifications in Now Brief will debut with the Galaxy Z Flip 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8, and Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide in the second half of this year. All of those upcoming devices are expected to run One UI 9.0 out of the box.
