Samsung launched the Galaxy S21 FE in January 2022 and promised to offer it four major OS upgrades and security updates for five years. By the end of 2025, the brand demoted the phone to a quarterly security update schedule.
It means that the company will release only a few software updates to the device before ending its software support, and now, the South Korean tech giant is rolling out one of its last updates. It brings the June 2026 security patch.
The latest security patch fixes 45 security issues present in the previous version of the operating system, making the phone more secure than before. Currently, Samsung seems to be rolling out the update to the Snapdragon variant of the phone in India.
It is 459.44MB in size and carries firmware version G990B2ODMJIZF1 (via Galaxy Alerts). To get it, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install. We expect the brand to release it to the other variants of the phone and in other countries soon.
