Most TV users don't pay much attention to storage, but modern Samsung TVs do have on-board storage for the One UI Tizen operating system, TV apps, downloaded files, and other data.
Managing your Samsung TV's storage is relatively straightforward, though actually finding the storage manager can involve more menu-diving than most people expect.
Once you know where Samsung hid these settings, it all becomes much easier. Thankfully, it only takes a few steps:
Once there, the storage manager shows how much space is used and how much remains available. It also lets you see how much storage each installed app occupies, and naturally, you can uninstall apps directly from this menu to free up space.
NOTE: This tutorial is based on One UI Tizen 9, but the same steps should work on most recent Tizen versions. The menus will look noticeably different on Tizen 8 and earlier.
Samsung's latest TV software version is One UI Tizen 10, which debuted with the 2026 TV lineup and still hasn't rolled out as an update for older models. Meanwhile, the Tizen 9 update first reached 2024 Samsung TVs late last year and has recently started expanding to more 2023 models as well.
