There were rumors that Samsung might raise the prices of its new foldable phones, and new information has surfaced that makes it seem those rumors were true, at least in select markets.
The leaked Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 prices for Europe have revealed a significant hike, and it remains to be seen if Samsung takes a similar approach in other markets across the globe.
NieuweMobiel has spotted the listings for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 at an Italian electronics store website, complete with prices. Based on those listings, the 256GB Galaxy Z Fold 7 will cost 2,227 euro and the 512GB Galaxy Z Flip 7 will cost 1,425 euro.
These prices are 200 and 100 euro higher compared to the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and the Galaxy Z Flip 6, respectively. Prices tend to be quite similar across European markets so it appears that customers in the continent will have to pay more to get their hands on the latest Samsung foldable phones.
It's likely that we may similar increases in other markets as well. While there have been reports about potential price hikes in the United States, likely due to the tariff risks, they may not be implemented initially, so customers in the US may not see higher prices compared to last year. A recent report has also claimed that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 will start at the same $1,899 and $1,099 price as their predecessors.
We'll come to know for sure once Samsung officially confirms the pricing information at its next Unpacked event, which is rumored to take place on July 9 in New York City.
