We decided to take the EP-T4510 charger on a test drive and compare its design and performance with the EP-TA845, using the Galaxy S22 Ultra for the benchmark. Check out our latest YouTube video for more details, or refer to the table below for a quick look at how these chargers perform side-by-side.
Design-wise, it's worth noting that the new EP-T4510 is marginally smaller than the EP-TA845, though it probably won't make a huge difference in day-to-day usage scenarios. Either way, it looks very much like your standard Samsung charger.
As far as performance is concerned, the EP-T4510 unit proved to be faster in our test, though once again, the difference isn't that huge. By the end of the charging cycle, Samsung's new 45W charger had a 3-minute advantage over the older model. However, it's worth noting that the new charger was slightly faster at lower battery levels, and both almost leveled out near the end.
So, is it worth upgrading to the new Samsung 45W charger if you already have the old one? Probably not. But if you're in the market for a charger already, you might as well buy the EP-TA4510 if you can.
