In turn, this means that what once was the Galaxy S Ultra has now become a Note device in disguise. And because of this, some of us at SamMobile are starting to miss the Galaxy S21 Ultra more and more.
As our YouTube host Benjamin explained in our latest SamMobile Tech Talk video (below), the Galaxy S22 Ultra is technically superior to the S21 Ultra. But despite this objective truth, we're starting to miss the S21 Ultra more and more.
How come? Why exactly do some of us miss the S21 Ultra? You can check our video below for Ben's thoughts on the matter, but in short, it all comes down to design and, more importantly, design identity.
The Galaxy S22 Ultra lost its identity, and if you're used to the old Galaxy S formula, the S22 Ultra might not tick all the boxes for you long-term.
Now, this is not to take away from the Galaxy S22 Ultra and its greatness. On its own, in a vacuum, this is one of the best phones ever made. But in the shadow of the Galaxy S21 Ultra, something feels off, and in the long run, some die-hard Galaxy S fans will probably not view the S22 Ultra as one of the truest sequels.
