According to industry insider Ross Young of Display Supply Chain Consultants, the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition features a 200MP primary camera. He also revealed that the phone uses Ultra-Foldable Glass (UFG) instead of Ultra Thin Glass (UTG) to cover the foldable OLED screen. This type of glass has an uneven thickness, with it being thinner near the foldable part and thicker in other areas. This reportedly offers improved scratch resistance and better durability.
Ross Young also revealed that most of the units of the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition will be sold in China, with the rest of them being sold in South Korea. The upcoming flagship foldable phone from Samsung won't be launched in other countries.

The Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition reportedly features a 6.5-inch cover screen, an 8-inch internal foldable screen, and a 200MP primary rear camera. Previous reports also claimed that the phone has a 10MP selfie camera, a 12MP ultrawide camera, and a 5MP under-display camera on the inner screen.
The phone will likely be launched with Android 14 onboard in October 2024. It is likely that this phone is meant to be a technological showcase from Samsung to show the world that it isn't falling behind Chinese firms in the foldable smartphone segment. The phone will reportedly be 10.6mm thin and lack S Pen compatibility.
