As we get closer to the launch of the Galaxy Z Flip 8 and Galaxy Z Fold 8 series, more credible information about the upcoming foldable phones is starting to emerge. A reliable tipster has now revealed the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra’s battery capacity and charging speed.
According to reliable tipster Ice Universe, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra will be powered by a 5,000mAh battery, which is around 13% larger than the Galaxy Z Fold 7’s 4,400mAh battery.
The tipster also claims that the phone will support 45W wired fast charging, a significant upgrade over the Galaxy Z Fold 7’s 25W charging speed.
All of these improvements reportedly come without any increase in the phone’s thickness. Ice Universe claims that the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra measures 4.1mm when unfolded and 8.9mm when folded. The device is also said to weigh 215g, which is the same weight as the Galaxy Z Fold 7.
The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra is expected to retain a form factor similar to that of the Galaxy Z Fold 7, while the standard Galaxy Z Fold 8 is rumored to feature a shorter and wider design.
According to previous reports, Samsung is positioning the regular Galaxy Z Fold 8 as a wider foldable device aimed at competing more directly with upcoming large-screen smartphones, including Apple’s rumored iPhone Ultra.
