Samsung is going to launch its next smartphone with a book-style foldable display, the Galaxy Z Fold 7, at the Galaxy Unpacked event on 9 July 2025. So far, we have had plenty of leaks about the devices, revealing its specifications and design. However, the leak we have today may be the best one yet.
On X, @Jukanlosreve has posted what looks like the first real-life and hands-on photos of the retail unit of the Galaxy Z Fold 7. The first image shows the blue color variant of the phone placed in a retail box with the cover display and the back panel visible. The second image shows the other side of the phone, but its inner folding display is covered by a sheet of paper for packaging and protection..
The third image is the most interesting. It shows the Galaxy Z Fold 7 from the bottom. As you can see, the phone looks super-slim, much thinner than the Galaxy Z Fold 6. While it won't be the thinnest device with a book-style foldable display, it will certainly appeal a lot of people and will be a head-turner. At the bottom, you will also see a speaker, a SIM card slot, a hole for a microphone, and antennas.
According to previous leaks, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will have a 6.5-inch outer display with FHD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic protection, and an 8.2-inch inner foldable display with 2K+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.
For imaging, the phone will have three cameras at the back with a 200MP primary camera featuring wide lens, a 10MP camera with 3x telephoto lens, and a 12MP camera with an ultra wide lens, and two cameras for selfies, a 10MP camera on the outer display and a 4MP camera inside the inner display.
The Galaxy Z Fold 7 will feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, and will be available with up to 12GB RAM and 1TB storage. Samsung will ship the phone with Android 16-based One UI 8.0 and offer seven OS upgrades and seven years of security updates to the device.
The phone will have a 4,400mAh battery with 25W wired and 15W wireless charging, and 4.5W reverse wireless charging. Connectivity options will include dual-SIM 5G, tri-band Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, UWB, and a USB Type-C port. The phone will also be dust and water resistant with IP48 rating.
