The floodgates are open! After releasing the stable One UI 8.5 update in South Korea last week, Samsung started rolling out the update in other countries earlier today. Following the Galaxy S25 series, Galaxy Z Flip 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE, and Galaxy Z Fold 7, the stable update is now available for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 in South Korea.

Galaxy Z Fold 6’s One UI 8.5 Beta Program ends, stable update now available

Samsung has ended the One UI 8.5 Beta Program for the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and the Galaxy Z Fold 6 in South Korea. The company has also released the stable One UI 8.5 update for users who were beta testing the software on their devices. Now that beta users are receiving the update, all other Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6 users in the country could also get the stable update within the next few hours.

The stable One UI 8.5 update for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 carries firmware version F956NKSU3DZDP and has a download size of over 4GB, but it does not include the May 2026 security patch. Galaxy Z Fold 6 users outside of Korea could get the update in the next few days.

If you have a Galaxy Z Fold 6 and live in South Korea, you can check for the new update by heading to Settings > Software update and tapping Download and install. Once the update is downloaded, tap the Install now button. The device will then restart after a few minutes.

The update brings new and improved Galaxy AI features, a slightly refreshed bottom tab design language for stock One UI apps, a more customizable Quick Panel, and AirDrop compatibility for Quick Share, allowing users to share files wirelessly with Apple devices.
