Galaxy Z Fold 6 gets optimizations for Google's apps
Google has announced that Circle to Search, Gemini, and YouTube TV have been optimized to run better on the Galaxy Z Fold 6.
Circle to Search can help you solve symbolic math and physics problems on the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6 screens. It can also scan barcodes and QR codes.
When you watch a video on the Galaxy Z Fold 6's big screen and summon Gemini, its overlay window can be shifted to one side of the screen for a split-screen experience. You can ask Gemini about the video you are watching on YouTube, and the information will appear in the split-screen window.
Google also revealed that YouTube TV subscribers can watch up to four videos simultaneously on the Galaxy Z Fold 6's big screen. Videos will appear in a 2 x 2 matrix, but this feature is only available for live sports. While Google only mentioned the Galaxy Z Fold 6, Samsung's other Galaxy Z Fold phones and tablets might also get this feature.
In its press release, Google mentioned that the Galaxy Watch 7 and the Galaxy Watch Ultra are the world's first smartwatches to run Wear OS 5. This update brings improved power efficiency (and longer battery life), a new watch face format, and improved media output options.
These watches run One UI 6 Watch on top of Wear OS 5. This new software brings Galaxy AI-powered personalized health tips, more accurate sleep tracking, Energy Score, and Workout Routines.
