Samsung has released a major software update for the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5, bringing the stable version of One UI 8.5 (Android 16 QPR2).
Long-awaited by users, the update introduces a refreshed interface and a host of new features. It also officially marks the end of the new software's beta program for both devices.
As is typically the case, Samsung has rolled out the update in its home country, South Korea, first. The update carries firmware version F946NKSU6GZDT and F731NKSU6GZDU for the Fold 5 and Flip 5 respectively.
While Samsung has not yet announced when it will release the update in other countries, the general public One UI 8.5 rollout kicked off on May 11 and started reaching several devices and countries on May 18.
To check whether the update is available for your Galaxy Z Fold 5 or Galaxy Z Flip 5, head to Settings > Software update > Download and install. For a full breakdown of what's new, check out our video below.
