Samsung has released new software updates for the Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5, Galaxy Z Fold 4, and Galaxy Z Flip 4. They bring the April 2026 security patch, which fixes 47 security issues present in the previous version of the operating systems of these phones.
Currently, Samsung is rolling them out in its home country, South Korea. Below are the firmware versions of the updates.
Samsung may release the April 2026 security patch for the Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5, Galaxy Z Fold 4, and Galaxy Z Flip 4 in other countries in the next few days. To check if the brand has made it available in your region, as well as to get it, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install.
On a related note, recently, Samsung released the beta version of One UI 8.5 (Android 16 QPR2) for the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the Galaxy Z Flip 5. It lets users of these phones try the new software, which brings a redesigned UI and additional features, before the brand releases its stable version.
The Galaxy Z Fold 4 and the Galaxy Z Flip 4 are eligible to get One UI 8.5, but the company has not extended the beta program of the new software for these phones.
