Earlier this month, Samsung released a major software update to the Galaxy Z Fold 3. It offered Android 14-based One UI 6.1.1. In some regions, it came with the September 2024 security patch, and in others, it packed the August 2024 security patch. Well, in regions where it offered the older security update, Samsung is now rolling out a new security update that offers last month’s security update.
Samsung is rolling out a new software update to the Galaxy Z Fold 3 that offers the September 2024 security patch. which fixes 67 security vulnerabilities, making your device safer against cyberattacks and other threats. Currently, the update is live for four variants of the smartphone: SM-F926B, SM-F926U, SM-F926U1, and SM-F926N.

As usual, your phone will notify you about the latest update. When it does, click on the notification to get the update. If it doesn’t, go to Settings » Software update » Download and install to check for the update manually. Alternatively, you can download the new firmware from our database and install it on your phone using Odin on a Windows PC.
On a related note, Samsung is working on Android 15-based One UI 7.0, which the Galaxy Z Fold 3 is eligible to get. Expect the South Korean tech giant to roll it out by the end of this year.
