Before the month ends, Samsung is rolling out a software update with the August 2024 security patch to the Galaxy Z Fold 2, which fixes 50 security issues. The brand has made the new firmware available to the carrier-locked variant of the device for the United States, which has the model number SM-F916U. You can recognize it with firmware version F916USQS7KXH1.
If you own the carrier-locked Galaxy Z Fold 2 in the United States, check your notification drawer for the update alert. If you don’t see one, you can check for the new firmware by going to Settings » Software update » Download and install. The new firmware is now available in our database for you to download and install manually using Odin.

Samsung should soon make the latest software update available for other variants of the device, including carrier-unlocked and international models.
