Record-high Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6 sales expected, powered by Galaxy AI
According to a report from Counterpoint Research (via Android Authority), sales of the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6 are expected to be 30% higher than their predecessors. Galaxy AI is said to be the primary driving force behind record-high sales of these upcoming foldable phones.
The Galaxy S24 didn't bring major hardware improvements compared to the Galaxy S23, but the phones still achieved record-high sales earlier this year, and Samsung claimed that Galaxy AI was the primary reason for higher sales. The same could be valid for the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and the Galaxy Z Fold 6.
The report from Counterpoint Research says sales of Samsung's foldable phones will grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 18% over the next four years, thanks to Samsung's continued investments in AI and AI-related features.
The South Korean firm is estimated to have a 35% share of the global foldable smartphone market by 2028.
