In a new report, the pricing of the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and the Galaxy Z Fold 5 for the Indian market has been revealed. Tipster Paras Guglani claims that the Galaxy Z Flip 5 will carry a price tag of INR 100,000 (around $1,219), while the Galaxy Z Fold 5 will be priced around INR 150,000 (around $1,829). Samsung will reportedly offer a cashback of INR 6,500 (around $80) for purchases made through select bank cards. Moreover, there could be an additional discount of INR 5,000 (around $48) for those who pre-reserve the devices.
Pre-orders will also let you choose from exclusive color options for the two upcoming foldable phones.
In comparison, the Galaxy Z Flip 4 was priced at INR 89,999 (around $1,097) in India for the 128GB version and INR 94,999 (around $1,219) for the 256GB version. Samsung is reportedly launching the Galaxy Z Flip 5 with a base storage of 256GB, and its pricing is similar to the 256GB version of the Galaxy Z Flip 4. The Galaxy Z Fold 5 seems to be bringing a price cut compared to the Galaxy Z Fold 4, which was launched with a price tag of INR 154,999 for the 256GB version.
Samsung could offer free storage upgrade for the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and the Galaxy Z Fold 5, similar to the pre-order benefit it provided with the Galaxy S23 series. So, if you pre-order a 256GB Galaxy Z Flip 5 or Galaxy Z Fold 5, you could get a 512GB version of the phone without any additional cost. However, these offers haven't been announced, so take this information with a pinch of salt. The company could also offer free accessories (Galaxy Buds 2 or Galaxy Watch 4) with pre-orders.
