Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 gets the September 2021 security update

After releasing the September 2021 security update to the Galaxy Z Flip and the Galaxy Z Flip 5G, Samsung has released it to the Galaxy Z Flip 3 as well. The company's latest security update has also been released to the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S20, Galaxy Note 20, Galaxy S10 Lite, and the Galaxy S20 FE 5G.

The Galaxy Z Flip 3 has started getting the new software update in Ireland. It comes with firmware version F711BXXU2AUI1 and includes September 2021 security patch. Samsung is yet to detail its latest security patch, but it could contain fixes for multiple privacy and security-related vulnerabilities. The new update could also include general bug fixes and device stability improvements.

If you are a Galaxy Z Flip 3 user in Ireland, you can check for the latest security patch by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also choose to download the latest firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually using a computer running Windows operating system. The update could expand to more markets over the next few days.

Samsung had unveiled the Galaxy Z Flip 3 alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 3 in the second week of August 2021. Both phones run Android 11-based One UI 3.1.1, which brings improvements related to Flex Mode and multitasking. The company has promised to release three major Android OS updates to its latest foldable phones.
