Galaxy Wearable (Plugin) update adds Galaxy Buds/Buds Plus widgets

Last updated: June 3rd, 2020 at 13:26 UTC+02:00

The Galaxy Wearable app got an update to version not long ago, and while the changelog didn’t mention any notable changes or additions, we later found that Samsung had also updated the Galaxy Buds Plugin – a component of Galaxy Wearable itself – to a newer version. This new Galaxy Buds Plugin update adds a couple of useful home screen widgets.

The new widgets are seemingly compatible with both the original Galaxy Buds as well as the Galaxy Buds+. The update has added two 2 x 1 widgets, one called Battery info and the other Quick control. The former should be self-explanatory. It’s a battery monitoring widget that shows the battery levels on each of your earbuds as well as the charging case, but it is not interactive. Meanwhile, the Quick control widget allows you to enable or disable Ambient Sound and the touchpads directly from your home screen.

If you own a pair of Galaxy Buds and/or Galaxy Buds+, you can grab the newer update with the latest Galaxy Buds Plugin version, then you can set the widgets on your home screen by pinching it, accessing Widgets, finding them in the list, and dragging-dropping them on the home screen. Let us know in the comment section if you like these new additions to the ever-expanding list of Galaxy Wearable / Galaxy Buds goodies.
