    Galaxy Watch 4 gets One UI 5 Watch update in India

    Samsung has started rolling out the Wear OS 4-based One UI 5 Watch update to the Galaxy Watch 4 and the Galaxy Watch 5 series in India. Last week, the Galaxy Watch 5 series started getting the update, and today, the Galaxy Watch 4 series has started getting the One UI 5 Watch update in India.

    Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch 4 Classic get One UI 5 Watch update in India

    The Wear OS 4-based One UI 5 Watch for the Galaxy Watch 4 and the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic comes with firmware version R8x0XXU1HWH5. It is a huge update with a download size of around 1.7GB, so download it on a Wi-Fi network. Apart from Wear OS 4, the new software update also brings the July 2023 security patch to the smartwatches.

    To install the new update, open the Galaxy Wearable app on your Galaxy smartphone and navigate to Watch settings » Watch software update and tap Download and install. You can also open the Settings app on your Galaxy Watch 4 series device, and then navigate to Watch software update and tap Download and install.

    Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch 4 Classic One UI 5 Watch update: New features

    One UI 5 Watch update brings an easier method to add watch faces and Tiles, a new Galaxy Buds Controller tile that allows enabling/disabling the 360 Audio feature, and the ability to check the battery level of all your Galaxy devices (including the smartphone). It also offers a tile for the Timer app and more call controls (keypad, mute, and volume). You can also create folders in the app drawer.

    It also brings the ability to set a group of images or videos as a watch face background. Improved Samsung Health brings enhanced sleep coaching and metrics, automatic cycling workout recording and mapping, more accurate track runs, personalized heart rate zones, and the ability to create custom workouts.

    One UI 5 Watch also brings the ability to pair the Galaxy Watch 4 or Galaxy Watch 4 Classic with a new smartphone without resetting the watch. It also backs up smartwatch data periodically in the background. You can control the phone's camera from the watch using the Camera Controller app. Bixby can read notifications from the smartphone.

    You can switch to voice dictation while using Samsung Keyboard by long-pressing the home button on the watch. One UI 5 Watch can display your emergency medical information on the screen after a hard fall. You can also manually display that information by pressing the home button five times repeatedly. You can keep multiple timers active simultaneously.
