Facer brings 3D watch faces to Samsung Galaxy Watch 4, Watch 5

Unlike the Apple Watch, Galaxy Watches have access to thousands of watch faces. If you don't like the ones from Samsung, you can turn to the Google Play Store to find and install third-party watch faces. Facer, an app that offers an additional library of thousands of watch faces for Wear OS-based Galaxy Watches, has started offering amazing-looking 3D watch faces.

Facer's new 3D watch faces are compatible with Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 5

Facer has announced a new version (7.0) of its app, offering design tools to add 3D graphic elements and animations to watch faces. Users or designers can use those tools to create 3D watch faces as per their preferences and share them with others. These new 3D watch faces are compatible with the Galaxy Watch 4, Galaxy Watch 4 Classic, Galaxy Watch 5, and Galaxy Watch 5 Pro.

Some new elements offered on Facer 7.0 include 3D models and characters with high polygon counts for more realistic-looking effects, animations, dynamic lighting effects, and particle effects. The company is also bringing procedurally generated 3D animations that can help create unique watch faces.

Facer claims these 3D watch faces don't consume more battery power than existing 2D watch faces. So, those looking to conserve battery life on their Galaxy Watch shouldn't be worried. Facer has 15 new 3D watch faces that are free for premium users, but free users can buy them for $1.99 each.

These watch faces will also be compatible with Fossil Gen 6 and any Snapdragon Wear 4100+ equipped Wear OS smartwatch.
