Samsung's flagship tablet from 2023 has started getting the latest version of One UI in the USA. The update was first released for the Galaxy Tab S9 in several countries across Asia and Europe last week. Now, it has reached cellular variants of all Galaxy Tab S9 series tablets.

The Android 16-based One UI 8.0 update is now available for the Galaxy Tab S9, Galaxy Tab S9+, and the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra. The 3.2GB software update comes with firmware version ending DYJ1 for the three tablets. The detailed firmware versions of all three devices in the lineup are listed below.

  • Galaxy Tab S9+: X818USQU6DYJ1
  • Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra: X918USQU6DYJ1

If you own one of these tablets and live in the USA, you should check for the new update. To do that, navigate to Settings > Software update > Download and install. After the new software is downloaded, tap the Install now button. The tablet will then restart once the installation procedure is completed.

The Galaxy Tab S9 series was launched in mid-2023 with Android 13 onboard. It received the Android 14 update in late 2023 and Android 15 update earlier this year. Since Samsung promised to release four major Android OS updates to the Tab S9 series, the devices will get one more update after One UI 8.
