Galaxy Tab S12+ goes official with better cooling, spatial audio, and optional Pro Keyboard

Samsung has just announced its latest premium tablets, and the company's unusual two-pronged strategy continues. As a result, the 2026 flagship tablet lineup includes the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and the Galaxy Tab S12+.

In other words, the Galaxy Tab S12+ is the closest you'll get to a direct Galaxy Tab S11 sequel in 2026. The last Plus model was the Galaxy Tab S10+ in 2024.

Here's everything Samsung revealed about the brand-new Galaxy Tab S12+ and what it has in store for future users.

The Galaxy Tab S12+ looks almost the same as the Tab S11, except it's larger and thinner (5.3mm from 5.5mm). However, it brings a couple of notable hardware upgrades, particularly in terms of display, speakers, and performance.

The Tab S12+ and Tab S12 Ultra are Samsung's first premium tablets to benefit from 4-channel spatial audio. Previous models had four speakers but only two channels. This new audio upgrade should elevate the experience with better surround sound, especially when watching movies and playing games.

Also worth noting is that the Galaxy Tab S12 is the first Android tablet to come pre-loaded with Adobe Photoshop.

Other productivity apps available on the Tab S12 by default include Notability, Goodnotes, LumaFusion, Notion, Clip Studio Paint, MyScript Math, MyScript Notes, Noteshelf, and ArcSite.

This year, Samsung is bringing the Pro Keyboard accessory to a non-Ultra Tab model. The aluminum-clad Pro Keyboard debuted last year exclusively for the larger Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra. Now, it will be available for both the Tab S12 Ultra and the smaller Tab S12+.

Samsung will also offer a cheaper Book Cover Keyboard Slim, as well as accessories such as a Book Cover and an anti-reflective screen protector.

All of these accessories, from the Pro Keyboard to screen protectors, will be sold separately. The S Pen is included for free.

The Galaxy Tab S12+ will go on sale in select markets starting October 7. You'll be able to order one in Gray and Silver for $1,199/€1,329/£1,199 (256GB model prices).
