Galaxy Tab A9's One UI 8 update reaches India

Samsung has released a new software update to the Galaxy Tab A9 in India. It offers One UI 8.0 (Android 16).

A few days ago, Samsung released a software update to the Galaxy Tab A9 that offered One UI 8.0 (Android 16). However, the brand offered it only in South Korea. Now, the company seems to have started rolling it out globally.

Samsung has released the One UI 8 update to the Galaxy Tab A9 in India (via Reddit). The update is 2595.76MB in size and carries firmware version X115XXU6DYK3. It also packs the October 2025 security patch.

If you have the Galaxy Tab A9 and live in India, you can check if Samsung has made the update available for your device, as well as download and install it, by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install.

One UI 8 brings many visual upgrades and a ton of new features. You can check them out in our video below. The Galaxy Tab A9 is also eligible to get Samsung’s next version of One UI for Galaxy phones and tablets, One UI 8.5.
