Samsung has started rolling out an update to the Galaxy Store for devices running One UI 8.5 (Android 16 QPR2). It is 51.59MB in size, carries version 6.6.18.12, and introduces a major visual change (via S M A Sithick).
Previously, the bottom bar featured a traditional flat design that stretched across the full width of the display. With the latest update, it adopts a shorter, floating design. This visual change aligns the look of the Galaxy Store with the design language of One UI 9.0 (Android 17), ensuring that the app goes hand-in-hand with the latest software once it arrives on these devices.

The update may include additional changes, but these are the only ones we've discovered so far. We've received the update on our Galaxy S25, Galaxy S23, and Galaxy Z Fold 7 running One UI 8.5 in India. It means that the brand is rolling it out globally. Interestingly, some users on social media say they received the redesigned interface weeks ago, while others are only getting it now, suggesting that the company is releasing the update in phases.

After Samsung makes the update available for your device, when you open the Galaxy Store for the first time, it will prompt you to install the update. Tap Update to begin the installation, which should result in the app closing itself. When you reopen the Galaxy Store, you'll see the new floating bottom bar.
