Does this mean that the purple or blue Galaxy S9 or S9+ will be launched as exclusives a few months after the phones go on sale? It's possible, and if these colors do get announced alongside the black, gold, silver, and grey variants, Samsung could limit their release to a few markets. It's also possible the case maker is playing it safe right now and doesn't have a complete idea of the final Galaxy S9 colors, therefore putting up renders of the device in colors we saw on the Galaxy S8. Also, Poetic has only published renders of the Galaxy S9+, so another possibility is that the two variants of the phone will offer different color choices.
It certainly would fit with the current belief that Samsung will keep the dual rear camera exclusive to the S9+; maybe giving Galaxy S9 owners some unique color choices will somehow ease their contention with getting lesser features? We'll have to wait to find out, and with the official announcement date now revealed by Samsung, more information should be making its way online as we inch closer to the Galaxy S9's launch.
