Samsung smartphones listed under the brand’s monthly security update schedule usually receive one software update each month, bringing the latest security patch. This month is no different, as many eligible devices have already received the April 2026 security patch.
Surprisingly, some of those devices, including the carrier-locked variants of the Galaxy S26 series, Galaxy S25 series, and the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 in the US, are now getting a second software update this month, which is quite unusual (via Droid-Life and Verizon).
While the changelog mentions that these updates bring the latest Android security patch, they still carry the same April 2026 security patch as before. This suggests that they may be addressing additional security issues or fixing critical bugs. You can check out their firmware versions below.
To get the latest software update on these phones, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install.
