With the launch of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and the Galaxy Z Flip 6 over, Samsung has sped up the rollout of the July 2024 security patch to its smartphones and tablets. Earlier today, the company released it for the Galaxy S24 series. Now, the brand has started rolling out the July 2024 security patch to the Galaxy S21 series smartphones.
For now, only the international variants of the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra, which have model numbers SM-G991B, SM-G996B, and SM-G998B respectively are getting the July 2024 security update. At the moment, Samsung is rolling out the new software update only in Europe. It should expand that to other regions soon.

The July 2024 security patch fixes 58 security issues. The new software update changes the firmware versions of these phones to G991BXXSCGXF5, G996BXXSCGXF5, and G998BXXSCGXF5 respectively. To download and install it on your device, go to Settings » Software update » Download and install.
If you prefer manual installation, the new firmware is available in our database for you to download. The Galaxy S21 series should get One UI 6.1.1, which made its debut on the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and the Galaxy Z Flip 6, by the end of this year.
