Despite popular demand, Samsung had not launched the Galaxy S20 FE 5G in India. The company only brought the 4G LTE version of Galaxy S20 FE (with the Exynos 990 processor) to the Indian market. However, the company now appears to be having a change of heart as it is bringing the Galaxy S20 FE 5G to the country.

We had reported two months ago that Samsung could eventually bring the Galaxy S20 FE 5G to India. It is now being reported by The Economic Times that Samsung will launch the Galaxy S20 FE 5G in India sometime next week. The report also claims that the Galaxy S20 FE 5G will be priced aggressively, probably below the INR 50,000 mark (around $688), making it one of the few affordable high-end 5G smartphones in the country. It will certainly be the cheapest 5G Galaxy smartphone in India.

The phone has a 32MP selfie camera on the front and a 12MP+12MP+8MP triple camera setup on the rear. The 12MP wide-angle camera and the 8MP 3x optical zoom camera feature OIS. Both front and rear-facing cameras can record 4K 60fps videos.

Samsung has equipped the Galaxy S20 FE 5G with the Snapdragon 865 processor, 6GB/8GB RAM, 128GB/256GB internal storage, and a microSD card slot. Other features include stereo speakers, IP68 certification for dust and water resistance, wireless charging, wireless reverse charging, and Samsung Pay. It has GPS, dual-SIM card slot, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, USB Type-C port, and a 4,500mAh battery with 25W fast charging.
