Samsung is on a roll today. After releasing the February 2024 security update to the Galaxy S21 and the Galaxy S23 FE, the company has released the new security update to the Galaxy S20 FE 5G. The smartphone is getting a huge software update, which means it includes something more than just security patches.

Galaxy S20 FE 5G gets February 2024 update in Latin America

The new software update for the Galaxy S20 FE 5G is now available in Brazil, and that means it could expand to other Latin American countries soon. The update bears firmware version G781BXXU9HXA5 and has a download size of around 1.3GB (via SammyFans). It means the update isn't limited to bringing just the security patches. It could include some performance or reliability improvements. The February 2024 security patch included in the update fixes 72 security vulnerabilities found in the previous versions of the software.

If you have a Galaxy S20 FE 5G and live in Brazil, you should now check for the new update. To do that, open the Settings app on your smartphone and then navigate to Software update » Download and install. You can also install the new update manually by flashing the firmware file, and you need to download the new firmware file from our firmware database. You would also need to have access to a computer running the Windows operating system and the Odin tool.

The Galaxy S20 FE 5G was launched in 2020 with Android 10 onboard. The phone received the Android 11 update in late 2020, the Android 12 update in late 2021, and the Android 13 update in late 2022. It isn't compatible with the Android 14-based One UI 6.0 update that has been released to relatively newer Galaxy smartphones like the Galaxy S23 FE, and you can watch its review in our video below. The Galaxy S23 FE is a great upgrade over the Galaxy S20 FE, and you can buy it by clicking the button below the video.
