Rumors and leaks are piling up faster than ever, and according to new bits of information from @UniverseIce on the Chinese social media network Weibo, Samsung will reveal its smart ring alongside the Galaxy S24 series next year.
The Galaxy S24 lineup will supposedly be announced in January 2024, and the first Samsung smart ring will be there on the same day. The leaker implies that this new Samsung wearable might steal the spotlight from the upcoming flagship phones.

For convenience's sake, over the past few months, everyone has been referring to the mysterious Samsung smart ring as the “Galaxy Ring” on account of a trademark application that mentioned this moniker.

Regardless of what it will be called, not much else is known about the Samsung smart ring. But it's been a while since the Korean tech giant entered a new market segment, and many people are looking forward to something new.
In theory, the Galaxy Ring should offer health and fitness tracking functions through Samsung Health, similar to a Galaxy Watch, except it will be more compact and not as feature-rich as the wrist wearable. It probably won't have a display, for starters.
But what might be a huge boon for the Galaxy Ring is that it could become a Galaxy Watch alternative for people who want fitness and health tracking without giving up on their classical watches.
