9 months in, the Galaxy Ring's availability keeps expanding, and the wearable is now available in another market in the southern hemisphere.

The Galaxy Ring might be one of the slowest-rolling devices Samsung's ever released. Figuratively speaking, of course. Literally speaking, it's a ring, so the likelihood of it rolling under your furniture if you drop it on the floor is high.
What we mean by “the slowest-rolling” is that the Galaxy Ring debuted in select markets in July 2024, and even to this day, the product is still not available globally in the true sense of the word. Thankfully, another market is now joining the fray.
Starting today, the Galaxy Ring is available in South Africa. Samsung has kept its promise from January when it said it would bring the Galaxy Ring to 15 additional markets, South Africa included, starting in February.
We've just entered April, and you can now grab the Galaxy Ring in South Africa from Samsung's stores, e-shops, and the Samsung Shop app for R7,999 ($435).
However, if you act fast and buy the Galaxy Ring and the Galaxy S25 before April 30, you can save 20% on the smart wearable device.
The Galaxy Ring is available in nine sizes, ranging from 5 to 13 on the US measurement scale. Battery capacity and autonomy differ depending on the ring's size, but at most, you can get up to 7 days of battery life on a full charge.
Samsung's smart ring is water-resistant with a 10 ATM rating, which should allow it to withstand pressures equivalent to a depth of 100 meters. Worry not about showering or washing your hands while wearing the Galaxy Ring on your finger. It most likely won't suffer from water damage.
The Galaxy Ring works only with Galaxy phones and connects to Samsung Health. It offers wellness and fitness tracking, with sensors for skin temperature, heart rate, and sleep analysis.
