Here’s how much Galaxy M42 5G costs in India

Samsung has finally launched the Galaxy M42 5G in India, and it is the company's most affordable 5G smartphone ever. The new smartphone will be available via Amazon and Samsung's website. It is based on the Galaxy A42 5G, which was launched in other countries in September 2020.

The Galaxy M42 5G is priced at INR 21,999 (around $295) in India for the 6GB RAM variant. The variant with 8GB RAM costs INR 23,999 (around $325). The company is offering a cashback of INR 2,000 (around $27) for purchases made via HDFC Bank credit and debit cards. It will be available for pre-order from May 1, 2021. The phone will be available in two colors: Prism Dot Black and Prism Dot Grey.

Galaxy M42 5G specs

The Galaxy M42 5G sports a 6.6-inch Super AMOLED Infinity-U display with HD+ resolution and an in-display fingerprint reader. The phone runs Android 11 out of the box, and comes equipped with the Snapdragon 750G processor, 6GB/8GB RAM, 128GB internal storage, and a microSD card slot. It features a 20MP selfie camera at the front and a 48MP quad-camera setup at the rear. The rear-facing camera setup features a 48MP wide-angle camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, a 5MP depth camera, and a 5MP macro camera. It can also record 4K 30fps videos using front and rear cameras.

It is a 5G smartphone with a dual-SIM card slot. It also features GPS, Wi-Fi b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The Galaxy M42 5G is powered by a 5,000mAh battery and it is compatible with up to 15W fast charging. The phone is also secured through Samsung Knox, and it features Samsung Pay (via NFC) and Secure Folder.
