Galaxy M15 users, rejoice! Samsung has released the stable version of One UI 8.5 for the smartphone. It was one of the devices expected to get the new software, but it was not confirmed to get the update. As such, the latest development is welcome news and a big relief for the owners.

As usual, the brand is offering the update first in its home country, South Korea. It carries firmware version M156SKSU8DZE4 (thanks for the tip, 정성현!). Typically, the company, after releasing an update in its home market, starts rolling out in other regions in the next few days.

To check if Samsung has made the update available in your region, as well as to get it, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install. The update also brings the May 2026 security patch, which fixes 36 security issues. As for the changes and upgrades that One UI 8.5 brings, you get a new user interface and additional features.

Starting with the design, you will now see elements with a transparent blur effect and a floating bottom bar in first-party apps, among other minor changes. Coming to the new features, there are a ton of them. A few noteworthy ones include support for Apple AirDrop, direct voicemail, partial screen recording, and a more customisable Quick Panel.
