Galaxy F23 5G, Galaxy M30s, and Galaxy M42 5G get updated with April 2023 security patch

Samsung has released the April 2023 security update to three more mid-range Galaxy smartphones. Although the update has arrived late to the Galaxy F23 5G, Galaxy M30s, and Galaxy M42 5G, the update is here nonetheless. Remember that all these phones get quarterly security updates.

The new software update for the Galaxy F23 5G comes with firmware version E236BXXU3CWD1, and it is available in India. The Galaxy 30s is getting updated with firmware version M307FXXS4CWC2, while the Galaxy M42 5G has started getting the new update with firmware version M426BXXU5DWD1. Both these phones are getting the new updates in India.

What's new with April 2023 security update for Galaxy F23 5G, Galaxy M30s, and Galaxy M42 5G?

The April 2023 security patch fixes over 60 security flaws found in Galaxy smartphones and tablets. The update from Samsung might also bring stability improvements and other general bug fixes.

If you have a Galaxy F23 5G, Galaxy M30s, or a Galaxy M42 5G, and if you live in India, you can download and install the April 2023 security patch by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually.
