Galaxy A71 5G starts getting April 2022 security update

Samsung has released a new software update to the Galaxy A71 5G. The mid-range 5G-equipped smartphone from last year has started getting a new security update in the UAE. The phone is expected to get this new update in more countries over the next few weeks.

The latest software update for the Galaxy A71 5G has firmware version A716BXXU6DVD5. The update includes the April 2022 security patch that fixes over 88 privacy and security vulnerabilities. It could also bring general bug fixes and device stability improvements.

If you are a Galaxy A71 5G user in the UAE, you can now check for the latest software update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file from our database and flash it manually.

Samsung had launched the Galaxy A71 5G early last year with Android 11-based One UI 3 software. The smartphone received the Android 12-based One UI 4.1 update a couple of weeks ago.
