Alongside developing One UI 9.0 (Android 17) and rolling out One UI 8.5 (Android 16 QPR2) for Galaxy smartphones, Samsung is also pushing the May 2026 security patch to its phones and tablets and to that extent, the brand has now released the latest security update to two more devices, the Galaxy A57 and the Galaxy A06 5G.

Currently, Samsung is rolling out the May 2026 security patch for the Galaxy A57 in Malaysia and for the Galaxy A06 in India. The latest updates for these phones carry firmware versions A576BXXS2AZE2 and A066BXXS6BZE1, respectively (via Mohammed Khatri). The May 2026 security patch fixes 36 security vulnerabilities.

Samsung may also be rolling out the updates in other countries as we speak. You can check the availability and get it by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install

While the Galaxy A57 is already running Samsung’s latest Android customisation for Galaxy smartphones, One UI 8.5, the Galaxy A06 is eligible to get it, and the update may arrive in the next few months.
