Samsung released the July 2023 security update to the global variants of the Galaxy A52, Galaxy A52 5G, and Galaxy A52s 5G earlier today. The company also released the new security update to the carrier-locked and factory-unlocked versions of the Galaxy A52 5G in the US.

The latest software update for the carrier-locked version of the Galaxy A52 5G has firmware version A526USQSAEWG1, and it is rolling out on Comcast, MetroPCS, Sprint, and T-Mobile's networks in the US. More carriers could release the new update within the next few days. The factory-unlocked version of the Galaxy A52 5G for the US market comes with firmware version A526USQSAEWG1. The update brings the July 2023 security update that fixes over 90 security flaws found in the previous version of the software. Don't expect it to bring any new features.

If you have a Galaxy A52 5G and live in the US, you can check for the new update. To do that, head over to Settings » Software update and tap Download and install on your phone. You can also download the appropriate firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually. You would need a computer running the Windows operating system and the Odin tool for the manual firmware flashing process.

Samsung launched the Galaxy A52 5G in early 2021. The phone debuted with Android 11 onboard, and it received the Android 12 update toward the end of 2021. The phone received the Android 13 update in late 2022 and is expected to get the Android 14 update later this year.
